Fiano is a Italian white variety grown in the Companion region of Southern Italy and believed a popular wine of the Roman Empire. Organically grown on the Bassham Family organic vineyard. Fiano has pale gold hues, a hint of nuttiness and textured with floral and honey notes, spice and tropical fruit flavours of custard apple, pome and ginger. A great food friendly wine that suits a wide variety of dishes. Seafood, white meats, pasta and cream based sauces. Yummy Yummy Wine!!
Petit Menseng originates from Southern France. A quality wine grown of the Bassham family organic vineyard. Bright gold hues, with green tints, aroma-apple, pear, honey suckle, hints of vanilla, peach ang ginger, palate- ripe pome fruit and crisp citrus finish.
Honeyed and textural. Full palate with vanilla and peach notes. Enioy the wine with rich cream and butter based foods, pork, Chinese, French and Italian cuisines. “A Family Favourite”
Vermentino is an Italian variety commonly grown in Tuscany and Sardinia and now Barmera in the Riverland, on the Bassham family organic vineyard. A drought tolerant grape loving the climate conditions of the area. Our Vermentino pale gold in colour with a greenish tint and intensely fresh flavours of zesty lemon and pepper. This wine is of Vermentino aroma, a medium to full palate fresh but rich, clean finish great with seafood, Thai, chicken Italian hot and fiery spices. Serve well chilled.

Red Wines
Rich maroon colour with magenta, purple and plum hues, with deep inky tints. Aroma’s of pepper and spice, cherry and dark mulberry with chocolate notes, very complex. Palate is long and balanced with silky tannins. Great wines!
Cellar Basham Shiraz up to 8 years. Pair to red meats, kangaroo, beef, lamb chocolate. Mature cheese.
Montepulciano is cultivated in central Italy, loving drought tolerant it thrives in the Riverland’s hot Mediterranean conditions, producing excellent quality fruit from the Bassham family organic vineyard. Monte is a very late ripening variety, showing deep, rich dark red colour and lifted with a bouquet of plum, raspberry and dark cherry. The palate is of rich dark chocolate and spice, full varietal flavour finishing with soft tannins and extended mouth feel. Great wine consumed with roast lamb, scotch fillet, salami and cheese.

Northern Spain is the home of Graciano, this Spanish drought tolerant variety makes long lived wines of great structure. This brilliant wine is grown on the Bassham family organic vineyard. Our drop has delicious aromas of black current, herbs and spices. The palate is rich and full of berry flavours typical of this variety. Enjoy the special wine with pizza, roast lamb, beef, kangaroo and spicy Indian dishes.

Lagrein is grown on the slopes of northern Italy, considered a cool climate variety. It does amazingly well on the Bassham family organic vineyard. This little beauty does us proud, it’s a wonderful dark rich wine, deep ruby red in colour, inky purple in the glass, with plenty going on- intense juicy dark cherry fruit flavours and soft silky-smooth tannins good balance of acidity and structure. Great wine! Excellent with vintage cheese platters BBQ, red meats.
Nero is cultivated in Sicily Italy and now in the Riverland of South Australia. This great variety lends itself to our typical hot climate conditions. The nose is floral with sweet spice, the palate is light to medium bodied and fresh with red cherry, juicy strawberries finishing with cleansing natural acidity. Soft but distinct tannins. Old world rustic finesse but does so with style, balance and structure. Perfect to drink as a young wine anytime of the day. Pairs well with poultry, pork, grilled steak, soft cheeses, pasta & pizza

While native to Georgia it grows well in the Riverland, deep black, red in colour, with dense ripe, fruit flavours and complex nose, tannins are softened with oak undertones. Finish is clean and lingers, complex, full wine true to variety and style. Enjoy with Pork belly, duck, lamb, bee. Great aging potential.

Durif is also known as Petit Shirah originating from France. This wine produces a dark inky purple mouth staining wine that is acidic with a firm texture, chewy mouthfeel. A powerful fruity, dense tannic wine, flavours of black pepper, blueberries, spice and chocolate. This incredible dark powerful wine is massive, intense masculine, high acidity and will age for decades. Perfectly matched with steak, rib eye, roast beef, barbeque, grilled meats and mature blue cheese. Can’t you taste it!!

Delicious liqueur made from black gem currants grown on the Bassham family organic vineyard Barmera. Ink red colour with rich vibrant hues, aroma’s palate is sweet, long and rich, with a velvety, soft in tense fruit finish. The fresh vibrant flavours of this liqueur pair well with soft cheese and dried local fruits, chocolate and berry deserts.
